Mechatronics and Robotics Technician Dan-D-Pak Fresno, CA Job Details Full-time $62,000 - $72,000 a year 12 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Control system design Organizational skills Adaptability Manufacturing Time management Full Job Description Maintains, repairs and installs plant equipment, machinery and related facilities; maintains hardware and a variety of records; participates in special projects; and performs a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. Employees at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving ABB robot automation lines, electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial purposes
  • Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
  • Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects.
  • Ensuring that installation and automation operations conform to safety standards and develop
  • Create a preventive maintenance program for robotic equipment and related equipment
  • Supervising construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
  • Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or authority requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities
  • Executes effective preventive maintenance programs to deliver maximum production time
  • Identify equipment maintenance needs.
  • Perform routine and complex mechanical, electrical or machining maintenance activities on equipment including lubrication, inspection, and replacement parts.
  • Order and maintain stock levels of equipment used in plant equipment.
  • Create and maintain a tool tracking and storage system
  • Maintain preventative maintenance records and schedules
  • Conduct performance tests of plant equipment
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, update and repair malfunctioning plant equipment
  • Maintain, repair and overhaul equipment including motors, compressors, belts, valves, drive units, hydraulic control units etc feeders, pneumatic equipment, and hydraulic pressure systems
Your Attributes:
  • Degree, Diploma or education in sciences, engineering or trades applicable to the areas of responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in using or a desire to learn the required software and ABB robot
  • Knowledge of applicable codes related to electronic engineering
  • Effective communication skills including verbal and written
  • Strong multi-tasking and organization skills
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Proven ability to work effectively, independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Electrical work experience and/or knowledge
