Position Overview As a Robot Safety Operator at Dyna Robotics, you will ensure the safe and reliable operation of our robotic systems during live testing and deployment at client sites. You will play a critical role in maintaining safety standards, protecting personnel and hardware, and supporting experimental operations. You will work closely with our engineering and research teams to monitor, evaluate, and refine robot behavior in real-world environments. This role is primarily on-site at a client location in Fresno, CA. We maintain a high bar for talent and look for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, hands-on environments. Key Responsibilities Monitor and control robotic systems to ensure adherence to safety protocols Intervene in real time when unsafe behavior or unexpected events occur (e.g., activate emergency stop or perform recovery) Conduct pre-task safety inspections and maintain secure testing environments Record safety events and performance data to support continuous improvement Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience Strong situational awareness and attention to detail Ability to stand and move for extended periods Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently with minimal supervision Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude Preferred Qualifications Experience with robotic systems, automation, or lab safety operations Familiarity with industrial or collaborative robot safety standards (e.g., ISO 10218, RIA, ISO/TS 15066) Experience with safety equipment such as interlocks, E-stops, or sensors Basic familiarity with computer software interfaces and tools (e.g., command line, bash, Linux OS)
