Job Description

Robotic technicians are responsible for handling all of the technical aspects of our dealerships. This starts with a pre‑sale site assessment and continues post-sale for the full robot lifecycle. In between, technicians handle demonstrations, deployment, customer training, and after-sale support and repair services. This critical role requires individuals who can provide service excellence and maintain solid customer relationships. This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of robotics in hospitality, healthcare, government and retail businesses.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Robotic technicians work closely with account executives from the beginning of the sales process. They continue working with customers long after the close of the sale. The sales process begins with a site assessment - not every facility is a candidate. If one our hospitality, cleaning or platform robots appears to be a good fit for the environment, the technician will set up and adjust the robot for a free trial period. They will be expected to demonstrate to owners and managers how our robots work and the value they provide. They should be comfortable explaining complicated technology in simple terms to customers at all levels from Fortune 500 CEOs to waiters and janitors. Before the deployment phase, the technician will gather site information, workflow details and customer requirements and then develop a deployment plan. If the account executive and customer agree to a trial, the technician will deliver the robot. Then they will manage the configuration of each robot, including route mapping, programming and testing. After that they will train customer personnel in operating the equipment. In complex environments, robotic technicians will work with engineers and other vendors to develop a working product. This could involve robots responding to customers, traversing elevators, or telephoning guests to announce room service deliveries. Some clients may need specialized product carriers or require security protocols. Many customers will have unique environments and most robots offer many features and options that exceed standard expectations. Our robotic technicians must understand our products thoroughly and be able to develop out of the box solutions. Even though our robots are designed for a long service life, repairs will sometimes be needed. Technicians will provide technical support to customers onsite or by phone, email or video conferencing. They will also upgrade operating systems and download and analyze operational data to advise customers on maximizing robotic utilization. The basic duty of a robotic technician is to keep our robots operating and our customers happy. This means resolving customer concerns and delivering exceptional customer support and service before and after the sale. DUTIES Develop and manage deployment plans Deliver robots and supplies Prepare training materials and documentation for customers Respond promptly to support and service requests Track the status of all projects and keep customers informed about the status of their projects Participate in manufacturers' technical training programs Understand robotic systems and diagnostic procedures Thoroughly document all work including unsuccessful attempted repairs Work with manufacturers to resolve warranty claims Collaborate with other technicians, engineers and factory support personal Learn continuously about existing and new products Define, document and recommend best practices Provide training and support to sales consultants and other technicians Recommend supplies and accessories for optimum performance Present a professional image at all times
