Keeping our manufacturing equipment online overnight is critical to customer commitments. That's where you come in. Could this be you? Do you thrive on diagnosing control issues under pressure—then building fixes that last? Are PLCs, ladder logic, CNCs, and robotic cells your comfort zone? Can you work independently, jump on urgent production calls, and guide others when needed? Role Snapshot Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems to code and plant standards Perform advanced diagnostics on CNC machines and industrial robots Investigate failures, identify root causes, and implement durable countermeasures Modify and debug PLC ladder logic using appropriate software tools Maintain solid-state devices and integrated control systems Own independent repairs and provide on-the-spot guidance to teammates Complete preventive/corrective maintenance to maximize uptime Respond rapidly to production needs to minimize downtime Act as the on-shift lead when supervisors are not present What You Bring Industrial electrical foundation with automation, CNC, and robotics experience Proven troubleshooting ability for complex electrical and control issues Applied knowledge of electrical theory and related formulas in manufacturing Experience programming/diagnosing PLCs and ladder logic Independent, fast-paced work style with minimal supervision Analytical, proactive approach to problem solving Flexibility to work overtime to meet production demand Consistent, dependable attendance Dedication to safety, quality, and continuous improvement Team-first attitude Education & Experience Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school; or 5+ years relevant experience/training; or an equivalent combination Core Proficiencies Electrical troubleshooting Industrial electrical systems Tech You'll Work With CNC automation solutions PLCs (ladder logic) Industrial robots About Dexter We design and manufacture components that move industries forward.
