Robotic Welder

Job Summary:

The Robotic Weld Technician is responsible for providing production support to welding lines including performing preventative maintenance, modifications, and adjustments as needed, and implementing processes to decrease downtime, quality issues and scrap. Essential Functions Provide production support to assembly welding lines, weld modifications (program/parameter adjustments), and all associated tooling Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment and robotic equipment on a regular schedule Willingness and ability to learn how to set-up, de-bug, and program robots for welding applications Evaluate strategic continuous improvements related to welding faults causing downtime, weld quality issues, and scrap Expand preventative maintenance program by analyzing the consumption and wear of welding materials to lower maintenance costs and production downtime Accurately collect, communicate, and analyze data from production processes Focus on minimizing downtime, improving throughput, and ensuring product quality in a safe environment Work within interdisciplinary teams, or independently with minimal supervision as required Maintain an organized, clean work area Utilize established processes for material replenishment and time tracking Track and maintain the production spare parts for the robotic welding cell(s) Follow Work Instructions and Job Element Sheet for welding related activities Make appropriate modification to both robotic and welding equipment to ensure a high level of running efficiency Design and implement welding procedure log and continued updates Assist in R&D or Tooling as needed Assist in other areas and perform other duties, as needed. Qualifications and Requirements Fanuc robotics experience a plus Welding technology training would be an asset Available to work flexible hours as required - on call Some travel required <10% Must have own basic tools Ability to read blueprints
