Data Collection Specialist Location:
Lab Environment Overview We are seeking a Robotic Tester - Data Collection Specialist to support robotics development through hands-on testing and operational data collection. This role involves interacting directly with robotic systems in a controlled lab environment, tele-operating devices, and documenting system behavior to support ongoing robotics research and development. This position is ideal for candidates with a STEM background and strong interest in robotics, gaming systems, and emerging technologies. Key Responsibilities Operate and tele-control robotic systems within a lab environment. Interface with robots using wearable devices, controllers, and joystick-based systems. Perform multiple testing and data collection sessions throughout the day. Map and record visual input and system responses from robotic devices. Document testing procedures and outcomes to support ongoing program development. Report system issues and observations through established reporting tools. Assist with light scripting and system operation tasks (no coding or debugging required). Maintain clear documentation to help train new testers joining the program. Work Environment On-site lab setting with frequent interaction with robotics hardware. Role may involve extended periods of physical movement and activity during testing. Use of game controllers, joysticks, and wearable interfaces to operate robotic systems. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Physics, etc.). Strong interest in robotics, technology, and gaming systems. Comfortable operating controllers, wearable devices, and computer interfaces. Ability to document processes clearly and follow structured testing procedures. Detail-oriented with strong observational skills. Preferred Background Experience with gaming controllers or simulation systems. Familiarity with robotics or human-machine interaction systems. Interest in robotics testing, data collection, and system validation. Program Outlook This role is part of a growing robotics testing initiative with a strong likelihood of extending beyond the initial engagement. Selected candidates may also help train additional team members and refine operational procedures as the program expands.
