About Luminous Luminous Robotics is building next-generation embodied AI systems to accelerate and simplify solar farm deployment and operations. Based in South Boston, we're a fast-moving, venture-backed startup with deep robotics and hardware expertise. After developing three generations of our LUMI robots in under a year, we're now scaling globally. This is a unique chance to join a high-growth team tackling real-world challenges in clean tech, automation, and AI. Role Description We're looking for a Robotics Field Technician to join our growing team at Luminous Robotics. This is a hands-on role central to our Manufacturing & Assembly team. You'll help build and maintain the infrastructure that supports the rapid development and assembly of our next-generation robotic systems, working closely with engineers and technicians to assemble, test, and refine complex electromechanical systems while ensuring high-quality, reliable prototypes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments, enjoys hands-on problem-solving, and takes pride in bringing cutting-edge hardware to life. Responsibilities
  • Travel to different locations within the US
  • Perform system validation testing and documenting results
  • Report anomalies and non-conformances and conduct light troubleshooting
  • Maintain tools and equipment; perform or monitor calibrations as required
  • Support upkeep and cleanliness of production floor, including assisting with reorganization as company scales its product Qualifications
  • Prior employment in an assembly or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and build documentation.
  • Clear communication skills and a team-first mindset in high-collaboration environments
  • Low voltage systems experience
  • Experience using standard shop equipment a plus
  • Be comfortable lifting objects following OSHA standards Bonus to have
  • Assemble robotic components according to instructions and specifications

Pay:
$31.25 - $40.86 per hour
