Position Summary The Robotics Technician I is an entry-level technical role ideal for individuals who enjoy problem-solving, troubleshooting, and working with robotics, electronics, and mechanical systems. In this role, you'll learn to repair and maintain sophisticated robotic equipment while supporting field crews and helping keep critical infrastructure projects running. You'll work alongside experienced technicians and gradually develop the skills needed to independently diagnose, repair, and maintain robotic systems. What You'll DoKey Responsibilities Train alongside Level 3 Technicians to repair and maintain robotic equipment. Learn to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in advanced robotic systems. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on robotics and equipment. Support field crews by troubleshooting equipment and robotic system issues. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and fabrication drawings. Complete repair orders and maintain accurate service documentation. Maintain inventory levels of repair parts such as bearings, seals, gears, and related components. Assist with machining, fabrication, and equipment assembly. Provide technical support to field teams as needed. Continuously develop technical skills in robotics, electronics, and automation technologies. What We're Looking ForEducation & Experience High School diploma or GED required. Technical school diploma in Robotics, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field preferred. OR one year of hands-on experience in electronics or electrical troubleshooting. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Technical Skills Experience or exposure to any of the following is highly valued: Electrical troubleshooting Robotics and automation systems Soldering and electrical repair Electrical meters and power supplies Milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and lathes Basic welding experience Power tools and fabrication equipment Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Additional Qualifications Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn new technologies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Passion for innovation, robotics, and continuous improvement. Physical Requirements Frequently walk, stand, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. Lift, push, pull, and move up to 80 pounds. Use hands for detailed mechanical and electrical work. Ability to maintain concentration while troubleshooting complex systems. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment. Work Environment This position primarily works in a shop environment with moving equipment and mechanical operations. Employees may occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Noise levels are generally moderate.
