Injection Molding Setup Technician Hourly Pay:

Location:
Hickory, NC 2nd and 3rd shifts available 4pm-12am and 12am-8am

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Injection Molding Setup Technician to support production operations by setting up, maintaining, and optimizing molding equipment. This role ensures machines operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a team-oriented mindset. Key Responsibilities 1. Set up and start injection molding machines for production runs 2. Perform mold changes, including connection of water, hydraulic, and air systems 3. Monitor machines to ensure proper cycle times and consistent output 4. Adjust materials and color changes per production requirements 5. Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime 6. Restart machines quickly following interruptions 7. Ensure all parts meet quality specifications and report defects 8. Document downtime and production activity in tracking systems 9. Complete setup documentation and communicate shift updates 10. Program and operate robotic take-out systems and tooling 11. Handle both virgin and reprocessed materials 12. Support preventative maintenance activities 13. Operate forklifts as needed Qualifications 1. High school diploma or GED required 2. 3+ years of manufacturing or injection molding experience preferred 3. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills 4. Experience with mold setup, robotics, and process adjustments #PSDH
