Robot Technician - Weld

Buyers Products company, a leading manufacturer in the work truck industry, is searching for a Welding Robot Technician to run production, write, edit, troubleshoot robotic welding programs for production weldments.

Primary Job Duties:

• Program robots to weld new jobs on multi-arm robotic cells.
• Setup and maintain Fanuc robotics work centers.
• Set welding parameters to ensure welds meet size, quality, and location specifications.
• Able to read blueprints.
• Drive the continuous improvement of all setup programs & work cell setups.
• Monitor work cell production quotas on an hourly basis.
• Assure that ISO quality policies and procedures are being followed.
• Maintain a strong culture of safety and good housekeeping.

Skills/ Experience:

• Solid understanding of the GMAW welding process
• Experience in production welding of aluminum
• Experience maintaining gooseneck and tool center-point calibration standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot weld quality issues.
• Highly motivated self-starter with proactive approach to attacking opportunities.
• Capability to be flexible with growth in a rapidly expanding business.
• Strong Teamwork
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Planful and organized.

Education Background:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Formal FANUC coursework completed is preferred.
• Experience with Fronius welding machines is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience writing and tracing programs on complex weldments.
