Entry-Level Technician (Robotics Testing Support)
Location:
SEA90 (Seattle, WA)
Travel:
~10% local travel (Seattle, Sumner, Everett)
Duration:
3-month contract (40 hours/week, potential for extension based on program needs) Role Overview We are seeking an Entry-Level Technician to support the testing and maintenance of robotics systems in a lab environment. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys working with mechanical systems, light assembly, and supporting engineering teams. You'll assist with system testing, basic repairs, organization, and day-to-day lab operations while gaining exposure to cutting-edge robotics technology. Key Responsibilities Assist with testing and validation of robotics systems Perform light mechanical assembly, repairs, and basic modifications Support general lab operations, including: Organizing equipment and materials Receiving and managing packages Maintaining a clean and functional workspace Help with basic system troubleshooting and upkeep Assist engineers with hands-on support during testing cycles Transport equipment and systems between local sites (~10% of time) Support general maintenance and readiness of lab environments Basic Qualifications 0-2 years of hands-on experience (school projects, internships, or personal projects acceptable) Strong mechanical mindset and interest in hands-on technical work Comfortable with: Light assembly and basic repairs Working in a lab or workshop environment Organized and dependable with attention to detail Ability to lift/move equipment and assist with physical tasks Additional Requirements (From Team) Personal vehicle required for transporting equipment between sites
Ideal:
small SUV or truck (systems are ~3'x3' boxed units) Alternative transportation solutions may be arranged if needed Willingness to travel locally between Seattle, Sumner, and Everett (~10%) Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) Exposure to robotics systems, automation, or mechanical builds Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD tools Prior experience in a lab, shop, or technical support environment Education Technical certificate, trade school, or associate degree preferred Equivalent hands-on experience welcomed Engineering degree not required Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
