Job Description Job Description Job Description Key Responsibilities Design electrical systems for solar PV and energy storage projects, including interconnection packages, permit/construction drawings, calculations, and closeout documentation. Develop system models using PVSyst, Helioscope, and manufacturer-specific design tools to generate production estimates. Conduct site surveys to assess existing electrical infrastructure and field conditions. Create single-line diagrams, installation details, equipment schedules, and electrical calculations in compliance with applicable codes and project requirements. Produce shop drawings and construction documentation for field installation teams. Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and scanning technologies, including drones and ground-based systems, to capture and model existing conditions. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, utilities, AHJs, and contractors throughout design and construction phases. Maintain and update record drawings based on field markups and site visits. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent electrical construction experience; PE license preferred. 5+ years of experience in renewable energy electrical design and construction. Experience with solar PV and energy storage systems. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, PVSyst, Helioscope, and Microsoft Office. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including voltage drop, ampacity, short-circuit analysis, arc flash, protection coordination, relaying, power factor, and equipment selection. NABCEP certification or related industry certifications preferred. Strong attention to detail, client service skills, and the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
