• As an Associate Distribution Engineer, you can expect to:
• + Support design engineering efforts for electric utility projects, assisting with individual design tasks and quality control activities under guidance from senior engineers + Assist in developing work packages for OH, UG, URD, Make Ready, and Street Light projects using customer GIS and Work Management systems + Collaborate with engineers and design leads to address client needs, supporting scope, schedule, and quality objectives + Participate in reviewing engineering design packages and contribute to planning, documentation, and customer follow-up activities + Assist with scope analysis of assigned work and help maintain schedule adherence to support client priorities + Continuously build technical knowledge of utility standards, design practices, and internal processes + Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workflow efficiency and support high-quality design deliverables + Assist in coordinating with utilities and field engineering teams to support design requirements, helping develop design packages for cable/conduit projects in urban environments + Support activities related to work permits, easements, and right-of-way (ROW) applications under guidance from senior team members + Be comfortable in both a field and office setting: the role may require some customer-site visits to collect field data that will assist in developing work packages + Be available for customer-facing activities and/or meetings on an as-needed basis (Job related travel will be reimbursed at IRS-approved rates) •What Sets You Apart (Background Requirements):•+ Bachelor of Science in Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial) from an ABET accredited institution; additional relevant experience/certifications may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree + Experience with NESC Standards, ESRI, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, and GIS a plus.
