Role:
Ontario, California is at the heart of one of the fastest-growing clean energy regions in the United States, and at SolarFuer Energy Solutions , we are building the engineering backbone that powers that transition. We develop and deliver utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects that contribute directly to a more sustainable, resilient energy grid. We are seeking a Senior Solar Engineer ( PV & Energy Storage Systems) who will take a lead role in designing, optimizing, and supporting large-scale solar and storage projects across California and beyond. This is not just a design role—you will be a technical leader responsible for shaping system performance, guiding engineering decisions, and ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and reliability. You will work closely with project managers, developers, EPC teams, and utility partners to bring complex renewable energy projects from concept to commissioning. Your expertise will directly influence project success and long-term system performance. Why Work With Us?
Impact:
Your work directly supports the expansion of clean, renewable energy infrastructure across the U.S. utility-scale market.
High-Growth Industry:
Solar and energy storage are among the fastest-growing sectors in engineering, offering strong long-term career stability and advancement.
Engineering Ownership:
You will have real influence over technical decisions, system design choices, and project execution—not just execution of instructions.
Advanced Projects:
Work on utility-scale solar farms and BESS projects that integrate cutting-edge technologies and grid modernization solutions.
Career Growth:
Clear pathway to Lead Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Engineering Manager roles based on performance and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Solar & Storage System Design:
Lead the design and optimization of utility-scale solar PV systems and BESS configurations, ensuring maximum efficiency and performance.
Electrical Engineering Development:
Create and review single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, interconnection studies, and system protection designs.
Performance Modeling:
Conduct energy yield analysis, shading simulations, and system performance optimization using industry-standard tools.
Grid Interconnection Support:
Ensure compliance with utility requirements, NEC standards, IEEE guidelines, and interconnection processes.
Project Collaboration:
Work closely with EPC teams, developers, and construction teams to ensure engineering accuracy through all project phases.
Technical Review & QA/QC:
Review engineering drawings, vendor specifications, and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Construction & Commissioning Support:
Provide engineering support during construction, testing, and commissioning phases of projects.
Problem Solving:
Identify technical risks early and develop engineering solutions to ensure project success and reliability.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
5+ years of experience in solar PV engineering, renewable energy systems, or utility-scale EPC projects.
Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of solar PV system design, electrical engineering principles, and energy storage systems (BESS preferred).
Software Skills:
Experience with tools such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, ETAP, Helioscope, or similar engineering platforms.
Grid Knowledge:
Familiarity with utility interconnection standards, NEC codes, and power system design principles.
Problem-Solving Ability:
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex engineering challenges.
Communication:
Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Mindset:
You are detail-oriented but practical—you know how to balance engineering perfection with real-world project delivery timelines.
