This is not a "shadowing" role—you'll contribute directly to work that impacts how projects connect to the grid. This is a multi-term co‑op opportunity beginning June 4, 2026 (minimum ~6 months) with the potential to extend up to 12 months or longer based on performance and business needs. We're looking for someone excited to grow with the team and build continuity across projects . You'll work closely with experienced engineers in a collaborative, hands-on environment , with exposure to industry tools and real project data. Expect a mix of technical problem-solving, coding, and communication , supported by regular mentorship. This co-op is designed to provide: Meaningful, technical experience on active projects Exposure to ISO/RTO transmission and interconnection processes Opportunities to build tools that improve how we work A path to longer-term growth with the team We're excited to build this program—this is a chance to help shape it ️ Activités In this role, you will: Support generation interconnection studies , including injection and withdrawal analyses Help validate, troubleshoot, and document technical approaches Translate results into clear insights for broader audiences Collaborate across engineering and technical teams Assist with power flow, contingency, and sensitivity analyses Improve workflow efficiency, consistency, and data quality with engineering partners Interface with tools such as PowerWorld, PSS®E, and/or TARA Build and enhance Python-based automation tools to run and manage large-scale studies Develop and maintain databases (MySQL / SQLite) for study inputs and results Create visualizations and dashboards (maps, plots, one-lines, summaries) By the end of the co‑op, you'll understand how real-world power system studies are performed—and how to improve them through automation and data . What you bring:
Foundational knowledge of power systems or electrical fundamentals Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar ( power focus preferred )
Preferred:
Junior or Senior , but open to strong candidates at other levels Technical strengths: Python programming (key focus) Comfort working with data, models, and technical tools Exposure to (or interest in learning): Power system tools (PowerWorld, PSS®E) Data tools (SQL, Pandas, NumPy) Visualization tools (matplotlib, Plotly, GIS) What sets you apart: Strong learning mindset and initiative Interest in automation, tooling, and process improvement Clear communicator and collaborative team player Previous experience in energy, power systems, or engineering analytics is a plus—but not required.
