at State of Delaware in Dover, Delaware, United States Job Description This position serves as a technical authority for DelDOT's Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) program, responsible for CADD standards, system development, and platform support. Leads user training and advanced technical support for MicroStation, ProjectWise, OpenRoads Designer, and Bentley Infrastructure Cloud. Evaluates and implements new technologies, develops processes and automation, and supports CADD operations within the Office of Environmental and Administrative Support. JOB REQUIREMENTS
for Engineering/Planning/Surveying Technician IV Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
Design Quality:
Consistency Control:
Three years experience in performing Computer Assisted Drafting and Design (CADD) using software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD. Three years experience in reviewing and performing technical calculations for transportation construction contracts, cost estimates or quantity calculations. Three years experience in interpreting transportation guidelines and specifications used in developing and designing transportation related projects. Six months experience in project management which includes planning, developing, implementing, managing and evaluating projects to ensure objectives are met. Three years experience in using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data. Six months experience in contract management and control which includes ensuring compliance with terms of contracts; negotiating changes to existing contracts.
