Job Description

at State of Delaware in Georgetown, Delaware, United States Job Description This position will be responsible for supporting construction administration; managing employee timekeeping; all electronic and paper filing and documentation, GIS data entry, drafting correspondence, assisting with book-keeping; and facilitating public inquiries both over the phone and in person. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and regular interaction with internal staff, consultants, and the public. This position must be available to work overtime as needed, during storm events, and other emergency events on short notice and in some cases no notice. JOB REQUIREMENTS
for Engineering/Planning/Surveying Technician II Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
Construction Estimating:
Six months experience in applied mathematical computations. Knowledge of preparing and processing pay estimates and change orders for construction plans. Knowledge of reviewing contracting quantity measurements and payments to ensure compliance. Knowledge of interpreting construction plans and details, schematics or technical drawings. Knowledge of using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data.
