Right-of-Way Mapping Technician Department:
Survey/Geomatics Employment Type:
Full Time Location:
Jacksonville, FL Description DRMP is seeking a Right-of-Way Mapping Technician/Specialist to assist Professional Surveyor and Mapper in application of principles, methods, and techniques of Surveying. Minimum 3 years of experience in Surveying/Right of Way mapping production. Your Primary Responsibilities will include
  • Basic calculations for field crews.
  • Review and verify accuracy of bench runs.
  • Review and verify accuracy of field traverse.
  • Review and compare crew field book information to final maps.
  • Prepare sketch and descriptions from field collected data.
  • Perform processing utilizing GPS processing software.
  • Prepare Right-of-way Control Maps.
  • Prepare Right-of-way Maps.
  • Complete project logs and time sheets daily.
  • Research for projects online or at local and or state agencies.
  • Utilize Standards of Practice and/or FDOT checklist for product preparation.
  • Analyze deeds and research materials for production of survey and mapping products.
  • Assist in Quality Control of field-collected data for submittals.
  • Assist with survey estimates, surveyor's reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Produce survey exhibits to support man-hour estimates. What you'll need
  • Proficient in OpenRoads Designer, Geopak, MicroStation SS10 and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Current knowledge of latest technology related to UAVs, Mobile and Terrestrial LiDAR a plus
  • General knowledge of FDOT surveying/mapping procedures a plus
  • Ability to work independently
