Jacksonville, FL Description DRMP is seeking a Right-of-Way Mapping Technician/Specialist to assist Professional Surveyor and Mapper in application of principles, methods, and techniques of Surveying. Minimum 3 years of experience in Surveying/Right of Way mapping production. Your Primary Responsibilities will include- Basic calculations for field crews.
- Review and verify accuracy of bench runs.
- Review and verify accuracy of field traverse.
- Review and compare crew field book information to final maps.
- Prepare sketch and descriptions from field collected data.
- Perform processing utilizing GPS processing software.
- Prepare Right-of-way Control Maps.
- Prepare Right-of-way Maps.
- Complete project logs and time sheets daily.
- Research for projects online or at local and or state agencies.
- Utilize Standards of Practice and/or FDOT checklist for product preparation.
- Analyze deeds and research materials for production of survey and mapping products.
- Assist in Quality Control of field-collected data for submittals.
- Assist with survey estimates, surveyor's reports, and meeting minutes.
- Produce survey exhibits to support man-hour estimates. What you'll need
- Proficient in OpenRoads Designer, Geopak, MicroStation SS10 and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Current knowledge of latest technology related to UAVs, Mobile and Terrestrial LiDAR a plus
- General knowledge of FDOT surveying/mapping procedures a plus
- Ability to work independently
