(NELS) is growing, and we're looking for a motivated CAD Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll collaborate with experienced surveyors, CAD technicians, and project managers to create high-quality survey drawings that help bring projects to life. If you're detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and excited to grow your career in a fast-paced, team-focused environment, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do Create and revise detailed CAD drawings from survey field data and project specifications Collaborate with surveyors, CAD staff, and project managers to deliver accurate and efficient project results Perform quality control reviews to maintain company and industry standards Assist in preparing survey plans, documents, and client deliverables Utilize industry-standard software including Carlson Survey Software, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D Maintain organized digital project files and documentation Stay current with evolving CAD and surveying technologies Support project coordination and planning as needed What We're Looking For Associate degree or certification in CAD, drafting, or a related field Experience with CAD drafting/design (land surveying experience preferred) Proficiency in Carlson Survey Software, AutoCAD and Civil 3D Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Excellent communication and teamwork skills Knowledge of surveying principles is a plus Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Why Join NELS? Health Insurance Position Details On-site/In-Office Position Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Training is paid at an hourly rate discussed during the interview process. After training, this position transitions to a piecework compensation structure with earning potential of $12-$24+ per drawing completed .
