Job Description

Senior Survey Technician Baltimore, MD An established engineering firm is seeking a Senior Survey Technician. The role involves utilizing Civil 3D to create maps and drawings, performing construction stakeout computations, and ensuring quality control on various surveying projects. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, strong technical skills, and a commitment to professional growth within a supportive, community-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
Technical Drafting:
Create precise topographic, boundary, and
ALTA/NSPS
surveys using Civil 3D or Carlson.
Construction Support:
Perform stake-out computations, prepare cut-sheets, and provide daily technical guidance to field crews.
Collaboration:
Work in conjunction with Project Managers, engineering's, Planners, operations, etc.
Data Analysis:
Process field observations, research historical deeds/records, and resolve complex boundary mosaics.
Quality Control:
Conduct rigorous QA/QC on all maps and drawings to ensure industry and regulatory compliance.
Coordination:
Act as a liaison between project managers, engineers, and field technicians to meet strict project deadlines. Qualifications Associates Degree or Higher is required. Ideally with a focus on CAD 5+ years of professional land surveying experience (office and/or field). Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; ability to build surfaces and alignments. Strong mathematical aptitude (trigonometry/geometry) and the ability to interpret handwritten historical documents. Must have a valid Maryland Drivers License CST (Certified Survey Technician) Level II or III and an Associate's Degree in a related field are a plus
