This position is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in civil engineering and surveying. We are willing to further develop the right candidate in AutoCAD Civil 3D and our internal workflows. The ideal candidate has some hands-on CAD experience and is looking to continue developing their skills in a production environment. Evans Engineering has served the Triad since 1974, providing land planning, civil engineering, and surveying services for residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal projects. We take pride in maintaining a strong team environment and developing our staff long-term. Key Responsibilities Prepare residential plot plans, including interpreting builder-provided house plans and applying them to surveyed lot data Prepare loan surveys with accurate representation of improvements and boundary information Coordinate and prepare points for field stakeout of residential structures Work with field crews and engineering staff to ensure consistency between field and office deliverables Qualifications Working knowledge of AutoCAD (Civil 3D a plus, but not required) Ability to read and interpret residential house plans and construction drawings Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Good attention to detail Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks Preferred (but not required) Internship, coursework, or prior experience in surveying, civil engineering, or drafting Familiarity with basic survey or construction concepts What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience, with compensation commensurate with experience Performance-based bonuses and overtime opportunities Medical and dental insurance Life insurance Short-term and long-term disability 401(k) with employer match Paid time off commensurate with experience On-the-job training and long-term growth opportunities
