Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Survey / Civil CAD Technician with at least three (3) years of professional experience using Auto-CAD Civil 3D . This role will primarily support survey projects, with occasional involvement in civil engineering work. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to balance multiple priorities while working closely with survey teams and engineering staff. This team fosters an environment on continuous learning and development in addition to helping obtain LSIT and PLS' licensures down the line. Key Responsibilities Prepare precise boundary and topographic surveys, existing conditions plans, exhibits, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and construction sketches using Auto-CAD Civil 3D Process, manage, and integrate field survey data into Civil 3D drawings Utilize COGO points, point groups, feature lines, and surface creation tools Develop alignments, profiles, and cross-sections Maintain established CAD standards, including layering, file structure, and drawing organization Coordinate directly with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to support project delivery Update and revise drawings in response to QA/QC reviews, agency comments, and client feedback Qualifications & Requirements Associate degree or technical certification in CAD, Civil Engineering Technology, or Surveying preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience) Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Survey or Civil CAD Technician Strong proficiency in Auto-CAD Civil 3D (required) Experience supporting surveying and land development projects Working knowledge of civil engineering and surveying principles, practices, and terminology Ability to work independently while managing multiple active assignments High level of attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality Well-organized, reliable, and deadline-focused Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team mindset Comfortable taking direction while also performing with minimal supervision Eagerness to learn new skills and expand technical responsibilities Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Water/ Wastewater Project Manager•Gresham, OR
