Job Description
Job Summary:
Land Survey Technician / Assistant. One year experience preferred. Candidate should be familiar with boundary, topographic, construction staking and read drawings and visualize to site. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.MUST LIVE IN THE NEWPORT /MOREHEAD CITY/ JACKSONVILLE NC AREA
. Background checks will be performed. Pre-employment drug screening is required for all applicants. Competitive pay commensurate with experience. Work is outdoors a, therefore applicants should be comfortable hiking, clearing brush and occasional heavy lifting up 80 lbs.Required Skills:
Broad understanding of industry, dependable, ability to function effectively as part of a team, ability to understand and follow directions. Must be a self starter with attention to details and be able to retain multiple project information.Education and Experience:
High School Diploma and 1 years of survey experience.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize GPS technology.
- Assist Surveyor for construction field layout.
- Construction staking along with checking slope and distance per plans.
- Use basic survey tools.
