Job Title:
Survey Technician About the Role We're looking for a detail‑oriented Survey Technician who enjoys turning field data into clear, accurate, and meaningful drawings that support real projects in the community. In this role, you'll use CAD tools to transform survey measurements into plats, maps, and exhibits that guide land development, infrastructure improvements, and construction across the region. You'll work closely with surveyors, engineers, and project managers, contributing to projects that have a visible impact on the places people live, work, and gather. What You'll Do Produce high‑quality survey drawings and exhibits, including boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, topographic surveys, and as‑built drawings. Create site plans, right‑of‑way maps, and subdivision plats. Interpret and reduce field data, notes, and measurements into accurate CAD deliverables. Build surface models, contours, and digital terrain models. Perform basic survey calculations (coordinate geometry, areas, curves, elevations). Maintain drafting standards, layering conventions, and quality control. Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to ensure accuracy and completeness. Update drawings based on redlines, field changes, and project revisions. Assist with survey documentation, reports, and project records as needed. What You Bring Proficiency with AutoCAD. A solid understanding of land surveying concepts and terminology. Ability to read and interpret survey notes, plats, and construction plans. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Bonus Skills Experience with Civil 3D, Carlson, or MicroStation. Coursework or a degree in surveying, geomatics, civil drafting, or a related field. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
