Job Title:
Survey CAD Technician We're looking for a detail‑oriented Survey CAD Technician who enjoys transforming survey data into accurate, high‑quality drawings that support real-world projects. In this role, you'll use AutoCAD to convert field measurements into plats, maps, and exhibits that guide land development, infrastructure, and construction projects across the region. You'll collaborate closely with surveyors, engineers, and project managers—and see your work make a visible impact in the places people live, work, and gather. What You'll Do Produce survey drawings and exhibits, including boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, and as‑built surveys Create site plans, right‑of‑way maps, and subdivision plats Interpret and reduce field data and survey notes into accurate CAD deliverables Build surface models, contours, and digital terrain models Perform basic survey calculations (COGO, areas, curves, elevations) Apply drafting standards and quality control procedures Update drawings based on redlines and field revisions Assist with survey documentation and project records as needed What You Bring Proficiency with AutoCAD Working knowledge of land surveying concepts and terminology Ability to read survey notes, plats, and construction plans Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlinesBonus:
Experience with Civil 3D, Carlson, or MicroStation , or relevant coursework in surveying, geomatics, or civil drafting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Winston-Salem, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
