Job Summary:
Job Description We seek a Limited Duration Road Survey Crew Member (Technician I). This full-time, hourly, non-exempt role supports road erosion surveys and related field data collection under the Road Survey Crew Lead, Monitoring Program Manager, and Hydrological Specialist. The position runs from June 9, 2026, through December 31, 2027 (with possible extension). The Association is a 501(c)(3) committed to watershed health, community collaboration, and an inclusive workplace. Job Duties ' Conduct road erosion surveys under supervision. ' Collect accurate condition and GPS data on roads and drainage features. ' Safely operate hand tools. ' Communicate effectively with staff, landowners, and partners. ' Maintain teamwork and contribute positively to morale. ' Perform duties safely following Association safety plans. ' Other duties as assigned. Requirements ' High school diploma or equivalency. ' Strong interpersonal and communication skills. ' Excellent time management and teamwork skills. ' Must be 18 or older. ' Current driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle for work use. '
Preferred:
Enrollment or experience in environmental science, natural resources, geology, or forestry; knowledge of erosion processes and survey equipment; GIS/Microsoft Office/GPS skills; 1+ years related experience. Employer Notes - Qualified candidates will possess the following: ' Ability to safely operate mechanical equipment and hand tools. ' Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing. ' Ability to be productive in a collaborative environment. ' Ability to adjust to variable schedules, early mornings, long hours, and varied weather/terrain. ' Ability to lift 40 pounds and walk long distances (up to 10 miles/day). ' Ability to work as a team and adhere to project timelines. Hours Full-time, typically four 10-hour days (Monday-Thursday), up to 40 hours per week; schedule may vary based on project needs. Wages/Benefits Starting wage: $19.12/hr, depending on experience. Benefits include paid vacation, holidays, sick leave, retirement plan, medical coverage with vision rider, dental insurance, and group life insurance.
