Job Description
My client, a national land survey firm with over 800 employees, is looking to add a Survey CAD Technician to their growing Charlotte team. This group supports large-scale projects across commercial, land development, and community infrastructure, with a strong presence throughout the Southeast. They've built a reputation for quality work, strong team culture, and long-term career growth.
The Survey CAD Technician would be responsible for:
Preparing boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction survey drawingsProcessing field data and producing accurate deliverables using AutoCAD/Carlson or similar softwareCollaborating closely with survey crews, project managers, and clientsMaintaining drafting standards and ensuring quality control across all plansAssisting with platting, staking calculations, and record research as neededThe Survey CAD Technician should have the following qualifications:2+ years of survey drafting/CAD experienceProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, or related softwareStrong understanding of land surveying principles and terminologyAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesDetail-oriented with solid communication skillsExperience with commercial and land development projects preferred
