Job Description

Position will entail assisting the Professional Surveyor in office tasks primarily producing final survey drawings utilizing CAD software, in as well as, field work to perform land measurements and property surveys if desired.
NOTE:
Open to part-time office position as the primary need, field work position can be added for additional hours, variable duties can bring this to a full time position. We always have varied and interesting projects to work on. Daily responsibilities will vary, but a full time position should average out to 50% office & 50% field work . Normal weeks can be scheduled per required projects, with 5x8s or preferable 4x9s or 4x10s with a possibility for 3 day weekends and/or flexible work schedule depending on weather, work load, and employee's desire. Part time schedule would be flexible to fit employer & employee desire.
Daily office tasks:
Clean and label raw CAD drawings into final client maps (Primary Responsibility) Navigate office computer, scan and file job projects Type property descriptions Print and copy final drawings Some clerical paperwork for projects Clean, prep and charge equipment for field work Daily field tasks: Prep vehicle and supplies Assist in searching, and recovery of property corners Staking property lines and installing property corners Some trimming of trees and cutting of forest property lines possible Driving, Biking, ATV, hiking, digging, hammering, carrying of tools Small family business may require other miscellaneous non-surveyor related tasks as needed.
Minimum Education Level:
H.S. Diploma/GED Highly desired.
Job Level:
Entry Level and/or Experienced (Some on-job training available)
Pay Rate:
Entry Level = $36,000; Experienced = Commensurate with experience. Annual evaluation with raises & yearly bonuses available for full time employment.
Duration:
Both Full Time and part time positions considered.
Housing:
Highly discounted rental housing is available through employer if needed.
NOTE:
Minimum experience in CAD software is highly desired / required. Drawing work is detailed, but fairly basic - 1 CAD class may be enough experience. Some work training available if you have the basic knowledge. Applicant must be a US Citizen, possess a valid driver's license, be in good physical health, and be drug free. Employer has allergies to cigarette smoke, which is not allowed. Applicant must agree to confidentiality and non-compete clauses concerning business and all projects.
