Full Job Description Description:
CBG Surveying is seeking a Land Survey Researcher for our Garland, Texas office. This role is responsible for gathering accurate, complete, and reliable information necessary to retrace property boundaries and meet client expectations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of producing high-quality work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. This position plays a critical role in supporting survey operations and ensuring project accuracy. Operate a personal computer to access email and standard office software. Research all new orders and quote requests received before 4:00 PM daily. Obtain and review key documents for each order, including: Property appraiser cards Deeds Plats Tax maps Flood information Easements listed on title commitments Review and verify due dates, pricing, and notes for each order. Enter and process orders as needed. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all research to support survey operations.
Requirements:
Requirements Experience with county and courthouse document retrieval required. Reliable transportation for ongoing document retrieval in the surrounding areas, and the ability to research orders online with the team. High School Diploma or GED required (Associate's degree in Business or related field preferred). Comfortable working with database management tools. Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with professionalism when interacting with employees, clients, and vendors Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications Experience researching:
Title, commercial, metes & bounds, topographical surveys. Save & excepts and elevation certificates.
Experience pulling and interpreting:
Property appraiser cards, deeds, plats, tax maps, flood data, and easements. Background in real estate title search, courthouse, deed, and plat research.
