PTO and Paid Holidays About the Role A respected civil engineering firm in Spokane, WA is hiring a Survey CAD Technician to support a wide range of land survey projects. This role offers a hands-on, end-to-end project experience, combining office-based CAD and survey work with occasional field support. You will work closely with experienced Land Surveyors and gain direct mentorship from a Professional Land Surveyor , making this an excellent opportunity for those pursuing LSIT or CST licensure . This position is ideal for someone with strong survey drafting skills, a collaborative mindset, and flexibility to support field operations when needed. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality office survey support, including survey research, field data processing, and preparation of client-ready deliverables Collaborate with Senior Land Surveyors and Survey Technicians throughout all project phases Conduct survey research and prepare boundary calculations from recorded documents for use by field crews Analyze Title Reports to identify deeds, easements, rights-of-way, and other recorded encumbrances Assess how recorded documents impact specific parcels of land Draft final or near-final versions of: Records of Survey Topographic Maps
ALTA/NSPS
Land Title Surveys Subdivision Plats Survey Exhibits Assist with fieldwork as needed, supporting crews with survey equipment and site activities Qualifications 2+ years of Survey CAD experience (survey-specific experience required) Proficiency with AutoCAD (required) ; Carlson experience is a plus Familiarity with survey equipment, including GPS, robotics, and total stations Ability to work in field conditions, including climbing steep terrain Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs. for extended periods Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects Willingness to travel Clean driving record and ability to operate company or rental vehicles Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $39.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
