Job Description

Description:
Vierbicher is a team of professional engineers, planners, community development specialists, land surveyors and GIS specialists who provide comprehensive solutions for a wide range of projects. Our goal is to provide clients with creative consulting services and quality products, enabling them to efficiently and effectively meet their goals. We work to build strong relationships with our clients that promote trust, cooperation and teamwork. The Surveying Technician supports our surveying and engineering teams by performing a variety of field, office, and mapping duties. This position also assists with drafting, mapping, and complies surveying information on coordinates, pictures, angles, and distances.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilites:
Sets up, adjusts, operates, inspects surveying equipment, including electronic total station, data collector to measure distances, elevations, angles, and other data in order to collect survey data. Participates and observes field and construction investigations. Processes data from manual or electronic field books. Performs basic field calculations on construction projects. Retraces or surveys boundary lines under supervision. Assists in researching existing record information, including record maps, plans, deeds, easements, and right-of-way documents; and maintain field data record. Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate degree in a civil engineering or land surveying program is preferred. One or more years of relevant work experience related to surveying services is preferred. College course work in surveying or civil engineering field is preferred
License or Certification Requirements:
Valid driver's license is required
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Be able to walk and climb over rough terrain
PPE Requirements:
Hi-Visibility clothing should be worn on job sites and in the field as necessary.
