Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a Site Survey Technician to perform field assessments and support the design, installation, and commissioning of solar energy systems. This role involves frequent travel and hands-on work in environments such as rooftops, attics, and active job sites. Benefits Company vehicle provided Gas card and maintenance card provided Travel expenses covered per company policy Travel Requirements Must be willing to travel throughout neighboring states Frequent overnight travel required Valid driver's license required with clean driving record Key Responsibilities Perform residential and commercial solar site surveys Access rooftops and attics to gather measurements and site data Take accurate field measurements and document site conditions Photograph and upload site survey documentation to design team via company software Submit complete site survey reports, photos, and measurements to design team Map and flag ground-mount installation layouts Commission installed systems and verify operation Connect systems to Wi-Fi and support monitoring setup Use monitoring applications to log into customer systems after witness tests Perform electrical witness testing using a multimeter Troubleshoot field equipment and coordinate with technical support Remove dead fronts from main service panels (MSPs) when required Maintain accurate and timely field documentation Qualifications Comfortable working at heights and on various roof types Ability to climb ladders and work in attics and confined spaces Proficient with tablets, smartphones, and survey software Knowledge of electrical systems, including MSPs and meter locations Ability to use a multimeter and basic electrical testing tools Comfortable using hand and power tools Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to travel frequently and stay overnight as needed Strong communication and problem-solving skills Join our team as a Surveyor where your expertise will contribute significantly to the success of our projects while ensuring accuracy and compliance in all surveying activities.
