Surface Survey Technician

Position Summary To provide surveying and drafting services for the Ohio Valley Operations based out of Moundsville, WV. Target Position Responsibilities Applicant is to perform as a field crew member for the surface survey crew, with occasional survey work underground. Applicant will be responsible for operating surveying instrumentation to perform all aspects of surveying including construction stakeout, boundary locations, as well as hydrologic and control surveys. Applicant will work with engineers to aid in mapping and survey calculations. Work is primarily outdoors in all weather conditions. Requirements Comprehensive knowledge of surveying procedures, survey instruments, operation of GPS and Total Station survey equipment, as well as Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD/Carlson is preferred. Must possess excellent communication skills, be detail oriented, and self-motivated. Position requires travel to various and multiple job sites in a company vehicle. Five years' experience and/or an Associate's Degree in Surveying or Engineering or related field is preferred. Underground work experience is also preferred.
