  • Full-time Position Overview GarNat Engineering is looking for a Survey Manager to join our team.
The survey Manager's job will be to manage multiple field crews in the collection of field data for topographic and boundary surveys, direct construction staking, and prepare elevation certificates. The survey manager will also oversee drafting and admin staff as required to produce boundary surveys, legal descriptions, easements, right-of-way drawings, and elevation certificates.
Responsibilities:
Independently perform surveying assignments, through the management of field crews, to provide data relevant to the shape, contour, location, elevation and dimension of land or land features.
  • Manage and train all survey staff.
Administer the operation and management of all instruments and measuring devices including levels, robotic total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectors. Extensive knowledge of Carlson field equipment, data collector software, and AutoCad Civil 3D. Oversee the download and upload of survey data to data collectors and office computers Administer the safe operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Professional Land Surveyor's license in Arkansas.
  • Proficiency in modern surveying technology and software.
  • Strong organizational skills and analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience in boundary, topographic and construction layout surveys.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze complex data and legal documents.
  • Ability to work well with GNE's clients, title companies and the public.
