Full Time Solar Topps is seeking a Site Surveyor to grow their career in residential and commercial solar. This is a full-time , permanent position that offers full benefits and with HUGE room for growth and advancement . Compensation and Benefits Industry-Leading Hourly Rate (Paid Weekly) Generous Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance Coverage Requirements Minimum of 2+ years experience doing assessments with roofing or insurance 2+ years of Site Surveying or Roofing Experience is a plus Able to accurately measure, draw, and sketch roof measurements and information Ability to understand plans and relay the correct information to our teams promptly. Able to stand for long periods of time; climb ladders, scaffolds, or poles; lift various types of ladders Able to work on various roof types and heights which include but are not limited to steep roofs, metal roofs, comp shingle, tile, etc. Responsibilities Travel to project sites to collect and document necessary information to complete design documents for a solar system Create detailed rooftop map layout for solar arrays including roof layout dimensions and all roof penetrations (pipes, vents etc.) Develop a positive relationship with customers as one of the first people to visit the customer's home in the installation process Conduct a physical site audit using tools including a tablet with apps, measuring devices, and other related equipment Upload site audit documents as needed to coordinate with the design/engineering department to produce permit-ready documents Gathers detailed structural data on multiple types of buildings Identifies issues on homes that may interfere with our installations Gathers all electrical data required by the company Mechanically Inclined, will assist in minor touch-up work
