Job Description

American Surveying and Mapping has a professional staff of surveyors and associates who take pride in their ability to provide accurate surveying and responsive service to our clients. Incorporated in 1992, ASM has become a leader in the surveying and mapping industry by providing high quality, professional services to land owners, developers, brokers, attorneys, architects, civil engineering firms, title companies, municipalities, and utility companies. ​ Salary is based on experience. We are looking for a local Party Chief who is able to work as a one man crew under the supervision of a licensed surveyor. Candidate will need to have excellent communications skills and proficient knowledge of land surveying principles and their tools. Position will be local but some overnight travel may be required if needed. This is a 40 hour plus job per week with flexible schedule. Summary of essential job functions
  • Valid Driver's License
  • The ability to work as a one-person field crew utilizing GPS and Robotic Total Station.
  • The ability to read and comprehend property descriptions
  • The ability to understand the
ALTA/NSPS
standards
  • The ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to travel overnight if needed.
  • The ability to produce field notes and take pictures
  • CST, SIT or PS a plus
  • Holding a Part 107 Remote license is a plus Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma, proficient in Microsoft office programs, minimum 4 years in surveying industry, minimum of 2 years as an Instrument Man, working knowledge of CAD and surveying software, must be able to exert physical effort, handle outdoor conditions as well as office environment, ability to work as a team and demonstrate respect and professionalism, ensures a safe working environment.
Must have ALTA experience.
