Key ResponsibilitiesPerform complex field surveys using modern surveying technologies to accurately capture land boundaries, topography, and geospatial dataInterpret and evaluate survey field data, recorded maps, title reports, deeds, and legal descriptions to establish property lines and resolve boundary uncertaintiesPartner with engineers, architects, planners, and project teams to deliver precise survey information in support of design, construction, and land development projectsLeverage GPS, GIS, and survey processing software to manage, validate, and deliver survey data efficientlyProduce comprehensive survey deliverables, including plats, legal descriptions, boundary maps, and technical reports for clients and public agenciesConduct thorough research of property records, subdivision maps, historical documents, and land title information to support accurate survey conclusionsEnsure all survey activities follow applicable regulations, professional standards, and safety requirementsProvide professional survey documentation and expert input for boundary-related legal matters, including support for disputes and hearings when requiredMaintain awareness of emerging surveying technologies, methodologies, and best practices to continuously improve accuracy and efficiencyApply deep working knowledge of the Subdivision Map Act, including Final Maps, Condominium Maps, and Lot Line Adjustments, from preparation through approvalOversee the care, calibration, and proper use of surveying equipment to ensure precision and reliabilityCommunicate clearly and professionally with clients, agencies, and internal teams to explain results, address questions, and support project objectivesQualifications12+ years of experienceMust be a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the state of California Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environmentProven capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting quality, schedule, and client expectations
Compensation:
Competitive base salary ranging from $150,000-$250,000, plus a robust benefits package and performance-based bonuses tied to individual and practice success. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. This firm does not typically sponsor H1-B or any other work visa petitions.
