- Position Overview
- As a Surveyor at Kiewit, you will play an integral role in ensuring the success of large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
- District Overview
- Kiewit Southwest District specializes in heavy civil, transportation and water projects. We operate primarily in Arizona, Idaho, Nevada and Utah. Southwest's projects include a wide range of infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, runways, terminals, transit systems, power plants, water treatment facilities, dams, canals, wastewater treatment plants and tunnels.
- Location
- This position will be located in the Southwest area.
- Responsibilities
- Conduct topographic surveys to capture terrain, elevation, and drainage for site plans.
Monitoring and Verification:
Track construction progress and ensure it aligns with design specs. Conduct final "as-built" surveys to document completed work. Perform volume calculations and material estimations for cost and resource management. Use total stations, GPS, and drones for precise measurements and aerial surveys.Apply CAD software (e.g., Microstation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D) for survey plans. Work with FAA data to monitor aviation activities and provide airspace management recommendations.
- Qualifications
- Experience with Trimble Business Center software preferred.
