Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Survey to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting precise land surveys, collecting critical data, and utilizing advanced surveying tools to support civil engineering, construction, and land development projects. Your expertise will help ensure accurate mapping, site planning, and infrastructure development. Responsibilities Perform land surveys using GPS, 3D scanners, and traditional hand tools to gather accurate spatial data. Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and Carlson for drafting schematics, creating detailed maps, and analyzing survey data. Conduct utility locating to identify underground infrastructure and prevent project delays or hazards. Apply trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and math principles to calculate distances, angles, elevations, and land features. Operate GIS software like ArcGIS for spatial analysis and mapping purposes. Collect data on-site through field measurements, sketches, and digital data collection methods while adhering to safety protocols. Assist in the preparation of survey reports, schematics, and construction documents ensuring accuracy and clarity. Use heavy lifting equipment and hand tools safely during fieldwork activities. Support construction teams by providing precise survey information to guide project execution. Maintain detailed records of survey activities, equipment calibration logs, and project documentation. Experience Proven experience in land surveying or civil engineering projects involving data collection and mapping. Familiarity with survey equipment such as GPS units, 3D scanners, total stations, and laser scanners. Strong knowledge of CAD programs including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and Carlson software suites. Experience with GIS platforms like ArcGIS for spatial analysis is highly desirable. Ability to interpret schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of utility locating techniques to identify underground utilities safely. Basic understanding of construction processes and site safety procedures. Excellent math skills including trigonometry, algebra, geometry for precise calculations during fieldwork. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
