We are located in Framingham, MA, and are a certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise in the State of Massachusetts. Samiotes' work experience is diverse, ranging from state-of-the-art site infrastructure designs to sophisticated land use feasibility assessments. Since its inception in 1987, Samiotes has provided services to several market sectors, including colleges and universities, public and private secondary schools, non-profit institutions, financial institutions, industrial facilities, athletic franchises, libraries, hospitals + health care facilities, retail developers, and real estate investment trusts. We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our growing team. Position Overview We are searching for a Land Surveyor I (Entry-Level). The land surveyor will work with all aspects of land surveying including, Boundary Retracement Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Existing Conditions Surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Subdivisions, and Construction Layout. Responsibilities Support surveying and mapping activities for boundary surveys, topographic mapping and construction staking projects. Utilize creativity, foresight, and judgment in anticipating and solving technical problems. Maintain good working knowledge of survey procedures, quality control, and legal principles. Assist Civil Engineers in planning, coordinating, and controlling field operations, and coordinate with CAD operators in completing office computations and mapping. Communicate and coordinate with clients and consultants. A successful candidate must have the ability to effectively manage deadlines and budgets. Qualifications 1-3 years' experience in Land Surveying. A.A. or B.S. in Surveying (or in a related field) from an accredited university is desirable. Registration as a Surveyor in Training (S.I.T.) is a plus. Civil Cad 3D, Microsoft Office experience. Familiarity with new survey technologies, surveying mathematics and principles, and proficiency with robotic and conventional Total Stations, Data Collectors and RTK GPS is required. Experience with Leica and Nikon equipment is a plus. Processing and drafting using Civil 3D is preferred. Laser Scanning experience, OSHA and
