Job Description Travel to project sites daily in a company-provided vehicle. Perform a variety of field survey activities including: Topographic surveys, Construction staking/layout, Boundary and as-built surveys, Leveling and traversing, Profile and cross-section surveys. Set up, operate, and maintain Trimble survey equipment including GPS units, total stations, and data collectors. Measure and document distances, elevations, angles, and utility locations with precision and attention to detail. Establish and verify vertical and horizontal control points. Collect utility data including curb and gutter, storm drain, paving, water, and sewer infrastructure. Review field calculations and make adjustments as needed to ensure accuracy. Prepare organized field notes and assist with as-built documentation. Read and interpret engineering and construction plans. Maintain company-issued vehicles, laptops, and survey equipment in excellent condition. Follow Atwell's safety standards and best practices at all times. Work independently as a one-person crew or collaboratively with team members depending on project needs. Qualifications Previous outdoor work experience preferred. Strong work ethic with the ability to thrive in varying weather and field conditions. Effective communication skills and the ability to work with contractors, inspectors, and project teams. Experience with Trimble survey equipment preferred. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Willingness and availability to travel as needed. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
