Job Description

The Cass County Assessor's Office is taking applications for a real estate appraiser. The appraiser will be expected to:
  • Conduct real estate appraisals - residential, commercial, agricultural
  • Perform field inspections on new construction, renovations, and existing properties throughout the county
  • Measure, sketch, and photograph new construction buildings/homes to establish fair market value
  • Follow up on permits through completion
  • Data entry into mass appraisal system
  • Courteous and professional interactions with the public (phone and face-to- face) Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • High school graduate
  • Valid Missouri driver's license
  • Insured driver with clean driving record Preferred Skills Real estate and/or appraisal experience is a plus however will train the right person.
Reliable. Ability to work independently. Self motivated. Additional Notes This job does require the ability to work in an office setting as well as outdoors. Appraisers are required to walk properties that may include areas under construction in a variety of weather conditions. To properly measure and assess, the appraiser will be required to climb stairs, navigate ramps, catwalks, maneuver safely across uneven grounds, walk and stand for prolonged periods.
