Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated Land Survey Crew Leader to oversee onsite projects and lead a team of 1-3 people. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of residential and commercial construction land surveying. As a Survey Crew Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Collect field survey data via collection systems (examples: robotic total station, digital and auto levels, GPS instruments) Digitally document all phases of work through field notes, daily reports, and other project documentation Analyze and interpret public records and research (examples: deeds, plans, utility records, and other pertinent documents related to land development) Ensure accurate layout and topographical locations Ensure proper care and maintenance of equipment and vehicles Communicate with the public as needed Communicate/collaborate with office staff as needed May supervise field personnel Qualifications High school diploma or GED minimum and 2•_ + years•_ of professional land surveying experience Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record and the ability to obtain security clearance Must have the physical ability to work outdoors in all weather for extended periods of time and be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to travel and work on projects throughout North Carolina; primarily Mecklenburg and all surrounding counties. Strong understanding of survey site operations and safety regulations. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail . Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
