Miller & Associates is actively hiring a Construction Resident to join its team in Kearney, NE and play a key role in overseeing critical public and private construction projects. As the Construction Resident , you will observe and monitor a wide range of public and private projects
- including buildings, public works, infrastructure improvements, and utilities
- to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, contracts, and agreements.
This hands-on role requires travel to job sites to monitor activities, document progress and address any issues that may arise. Job Responsibilities:
Examine and oversee daily activity for construction or repair projects Perform necessary soil, concrete, masonry, and asphalt testing as needed Ensure that federal, state, and local government construction projects comply with contract specifications Inspect excavation and fill operations, the placement of forms for concrete, concrete mixing and pouring, asphalt paving, and grading operations Maintain daily work log, take photographs, file reports, and act on inspection findings Use survey instruments, metering devices, tape measures, concrete and soils test equipment
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED required; secondary education preferred 1+ year of field experience in the construction or civil engineering field Familiarity with the construction inspection process Valid driver's license required Eager to play a vital role in bringing projects to life?
