Job Description

Staff Surveyor Full-Time | Field + Office A growing surveying and civil consulting team is looking to bring on a Staff Surveyor to support a mix of boundary, topographic, and site development work. This is a field-to-finish role where you'll be involved in both data collection and office production. Ideal for someone who wants to keep technical skills sharp without being siloed. What You'll Be Doing Perform field surveys including boundary and topographic work across a range of project sites Process field data and produce plans, profiles, cross sections, and plats Conduct records research (deeds, maps, utilities) and support boundary analysis Perform survey computations and ensure accuracy of deliverables Assist with setup, calibration, and operation of survey equipment Coordinate field technology, scanning, and data collection tools Review survey data, reports, and drawings for completeness and quality What They're Looking For 3+ years of land surveying experience (field + office exposure preferred) Solid understanding of survey principles, practices, and computations Experience with survey equipment and data collection workflows Exposure to laser scanning (Leica preferred) is a plus Proficiency with Auto-CAD 2024 + Civil 3D Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability Clear communication skills•both internally and on-site Valid driver's license (field site visits required) Why This Role Stands Out Strong mix of field + office work (no pigeonholing) Exposure to modern survey tech and workflows Variety of project types•not stuck on one niche Team environment where you're actually contributing, not just drafting
