The Surveyor will be responsible for conducting precise land and construction surveys, utilizing advanced measurement tools and software to gather accurate spatial data. This role plays a vital part in supporting civil engineering projects, land development, and infrastructure planning. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in land surveying techniques, CAD drafting, and geospatial analysis, ensuring all data collected meets industry standards and project specifications. Responsibilities Perform land surveys using GPS, total stations, 3D scanners, and other advanced measurement equipment to collect precise spatial data. Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Revit to draft survey plans, schematics, and detailed site layouts. Apply principles of trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and math to calculate distances, angles, elevations, and coordinate systems accurately. Conduct ALTA surveys and other specialized land surveys to meet client requirements and regulatory standards. Use GIS tools like ArcGIS and Carlson to analyze spatial data and generate detailed maps for project planning. Operate 3D scanners and Trimble technology for comprehensive data collection in complex environments. Collaborate with civil engineers and construction teams to interpret survey data and support project development. Maintain meticulous records of survey data, field notes, sketches, and schematics for documentation and future reference. Ensure compliance with safety protocols during field operations while managing multiple survey projects efficiently. Experience Proven experience in land surveying or civil engineering projects with a strong understanding of land surveying principles. Proficiency in using GPS devices, Total Stations, 3D scanners, and related field equipment. Skilled in CAD drafting software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, and Carlson. Knowledge of GIS applications such as ArcGIS for spatial analysis and mapping. Familiarity with construction surveying techniques including schematics and ALTA surveys. Strong mathematical skills in trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and general math relevant to surveying tasks. Experience with data collection tools like Trimble systems and the integration of CAD drawings into project workflows. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately. Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills for collaboration across teams.
