Job Title:
Field Surveyor Job Description We are seeking a skilled Field Surveyor to join our dynamic team. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their project needs, managing budgets, and leading field crews to ensure accuracy and efficiency in survey operations. You will conduct deed and survey research, perform fieldwork, and utilize CAD software for precise documentation. Responsibilities Consult with clients to understand their needs and project requirements. Assist with preparing comprehensive proposals and managing budgets to ensure project success. Lead field crews, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in survey operations. Conduct thorough deed and survey research and review to inform project decisions. Perform field work associated with land surveying, engineering, and construction projects, including setup, data collection, and quality control. Utilize CAD software to prepare precise drawings and documents. Conduct survey computations with accuracy and attention to detail. Essential Skills Experience in field surveying, including setup, data collection, and quality control. Construction surveying experience in the field. Proficiency in using survey tools such as GPS, Total Station, and CAD software. 5+ years of field surveying experience or 2+ years and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in civil, construction, and land surveying. Knowledge of civil 3D software. Work Environment The role involves working approximately 40+ hours per week, traveling to different sites for construction surveying. Most sites are buildings or open land where buildings are being designed and built. A company truck is provided, and gas expenses for travel to sites are covered. The work environment is diverse, with projects spanning various industries, including manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical, agriculture, water/wastewater, government, and commercial sectors. There is an opportunity for growth into lead roles such as survey crew chief, P.S, or Survey Manager. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maumee, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
