Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Licensed Land Surveyor and play a vital role in mapping, measuring, and analyzing land parcels with precision and expertise. In this energetic position, you will lead survey projects from initial planning through data collection and final documentation, ensuring all work complies with industry standards and regulations. Your expertise will help shape infrastructure development, land division, and construction projects, contributing to the growth and safety of communities. Duties Lead land survey projects by planning survey routes, establishing control points, and coordinating field activities with team members Utilize cutting-edge equipment such as GPS systems, and Trimble technology to gather precise spatial data Conduct topographic surveys, ALTA surveys (American Land Title Association), and construction staking to support engineering and development projects Prepare detailed sketches, schematics, and CAD drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D software for project documentation Apply advanced math concepts including trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and civil engineering principles to analyze survey data accurately Ensure all survey activities adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining meticulous records of data collection Requirements Valid license as a Land Surveyor with relevant state certification or registration Proven experience in land surveying with knowledge of civil engineering practices and construction processes Strong proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, and Carlson for drafting and schematics Familiarity with GPS technology, Trimble equipment, 3D scanners, and data collection methods for land surveying projects Solid understanding of trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and math fundamentals essential for precise measurements Experience working with GIS platforms like ArcGIS for spatial data management and analysis Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately Excellent communication skills to coordinate with engineers, contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies Knowledge of ALTA surveys standards and construction staking procedures is a plus
