Job Description

About us SZS Engineering Access Inc is a consulting firm in California. We are innovative and agile in applying cutting edge technology. Our multidisciplinary team of professionals seek a new team member from architecture, engineering or construction management disciplines. We are also interested in people who do not have bachelors degrees, but want a chance to work in this specialized field and are willing to put in the time and effort necessary to succeed. SZS will provide field experience and training to enable candidates to sit for the highly coveted certification as a Certified Access Specialist (CASp) as part of their work. We will also cover the cost of the exam and specialized training prior to the exam that will facilitate a successful examination. This certification is open to those with and without formal degrees.

Field Investigator Job Description:
New hires will assist trained staff with site inspections. This is a great opportunity for those interested in developing practical skills that can lead to certification as a CASp and facilitate their growth as engineers or architects. Existing skills that will be useful include experience with traditional measurement tools such as measuring tapes, digital levels, tablet-based databases as well as surface profiling devices including laser tech and robotics.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or civil engineering with EIT certificate (preferred)
  • Experience in a design and construction environment
  • Experience reading architectural plans, specifications, and/or construction documents (preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is a plus
  • English proficiency
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
