As the Director of Survey , you will oversee all aspects of our surveying division, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and quality in the delivery of surveying services to our clients. This position requires a deep understanding of the surveying industry, as well as strong leadership, business development, and project management skills.What You Will Be Doing:
Lead and manage the survey department, ensuring efficient execution of projects Provide technical direction, guidance, and support to survey managers and office staff Develop and implement processes to improve the quality and efficiency of survey operations Foster a positive team environment with a focus on safety, performance, and client satisfaction Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all surveying projects, ensuring they meet client specifications and industry standards Coordinate with engineering, geospatial, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of survey data into broader project workflows Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets while maintaining quality control Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction with services and identifying opportunities for additional business Collaborate with the business development team to expand the company's surveying services within various markets Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients Ensure all surveying activities comply with state, local, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practices Maintain accurate records and documentation of all survey projects Oversee quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of survey data Stay up-to-date with the latest surveying technologies, methods, and equipment Implement innovative tools and techniques to improve the precision and efficiency of survey operations, including geospatial technologies Conduct regular meetings with management to ensure the team is staying on top of project timelines and deliverables, review and reinforce safety protocols, and address any challenges, resource needs, or opportunities for improvementWhat You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or equivalent work experience in survey or civil engineering environment (required) 10+ years of experience in land surveying, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role (required) Professional Surveyor and Mapper license (PSM or PLS) (required) Experience working with utility clients (preferred) Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to surveying and mapping Proficiency with modern surveying equipment and software, including GPS, Total Station, LiDAR, and GIS systems Ability to work in a safe manner and obey safety regulations at all times Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet fixed deadlines on a timely basis Ability to travel as needed Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving (MVR) policy So...Why Join Us?
